About Sook Lin
I am a PhD Candidate in Anthropology at the University of Southern California. My research looks broadly at the intersections between healthcare, technological innovation and finance in Southeast Asia (specifically Singapore). My dissertation looks at the development and commercialisation of novel biomarkers, gut microbiome science and public-private partnerships in healthtech innovation. Prior to my PhD, I worked with a nonprofit organisation advocating and providing services for sex workers in Singapore.
