About Nick

My work develops critiques of racial capitalism through ethnographic and historical research into the operations of urban infrastructures in North America. I focus specifically on the ways white supremacy becomes embedded in, reinforced through, and contested by technological systems in US cities. This includes overlapping housing, energy, water, and waste systems. By way of STS and STS adjacent scholarship, I try to bring US cities into hemispheric and global conversations about the coloniality of racial capital.
