About Lindsay
My research contributes to 1) the anthropology of data and information cultures in both computer science and domain communities and to 2) the design and theorization of digital infrastructure to support experimental and collaborative ethnography. In my most recent project, I examine how, in an era of Big Data, practitioners that model data for machine-consumption have learned to work at and against the limits of knowledge representation. I also serve as the Platform Architect for the Platform for Experimental Collaborative Ethnography.
