About Jose Angel

Santana Guerra works at the intersection of STS, Critical Ethnic Studies, Critical Theory, and Environmental Anthropology. They are interested in understanding the entanglements between circulations of earthly becoming through Atlantic Ocean currents, and the shifts of climate monitoring in the United States. In this, they are concerned with ruptures of flow, (de)stabalizations of circulation, and the potential collapse of the current - both in terms of specific ocean currents, and the temporal space we exist in now. Santana asks what happens to the earth when oceanic futures become unarchivable through a state-led abandonment of climate research.
