About Chloe
Chloé Damon is a PhD Student in Cultural Anthropology at the University of Wisconsin— Madison, where her research focuses on the gendered dimensions of health, reproduction, bureaucracy, and statecraft. Her research so far has explored these themes through extended ethnographic work on the gendered dimensions of citizenship and statelessness among highland and Indigenous women in northern Thailand. She is currently developing a dissertation research agenda on the intersections of reproductive and environmental politics in the Midwestern United States, particularly as they relate to rising concerns of (in)fertility and toxic exposures, and newly-promoted fertility treatment modalities.
