About Travis
I graduated with a BA in Human Sciences from the University of Oxford in 2024. My undergraduate thesis focused on how notions of 'the human' are being reconfigured in the age of emerging technologies, and how those ideas determine who gets to participate in shaping the future. I explored this topic through the lens of transhumanist future-making and undertook ethnographic research in a special economic zone in Honduras called Prospera, a new city that pitches itself as a prototype of a future society: one of unlimited lifespan, free cities, and sovereign individuals. I'm eager to move forward with my research into these topics and more by pursuing a PhD in STS.
