About Ari

Ari Ofengenden is Professor of Practice at Tulane University. He has written extensively on ideology, globalization and culture and capitalism. He did his M.A in Cognitive Psychology and Ph.D in comparative literature at Tübingen University. He has taught at Monash University, Oberlin College, George Washington University, Tulane University as well as been guest lecturer in Guangzhou university. In addition to numerous articles, Ofengenden's book publications include The Ruling Ideas (2023) The Passion for Absence in Abraham Shlonsky (2010), Ofengenden was the Editor of the Purdue University Press humanities and social sciences quarterly CLCWeb: Comparative Literature and Culture. He is the editor of monograph series of books in comparative cultural studies at Purdue University Press, as well as Elected Member European Academy of Sciences and Arts.
