Erikson's previous and award-winning anthropological/STS research on prenatal diagnostic technologies, computational analytics of health prediction, and the (mis)direction of contact tracing apps in pandemics informs her current research on how global investors use data, modeling, fintech and AI to gamble on catastrophic human crises. Her lastest book, published by MIT Press, is Investable! When Pandemic Risk Meets Speculative Finance - A Cautionary Tale.
