About Hongyun
Hongyun Yu is a PhD student in Anthropology at Rice University with interdisciplinary training in law and socio-legal studies. His research works across legal anthropology, science and technology studies, gender and sexuality studies, and Chinese studies. He is interested in how law, technology, expertise, and infrastructure shape governance, affect, and everyday life in contemporary and transnational Chinese contexts.
