About Malissa Kay
I am an interdisciplinary qualitative researcher drawing on the fields of science and technology studies, feminist inquiry, and body and embodiment studies. My scholarship focuses primarily on biotechnologies and health practices largely as they apply to women’s bodies to investigate changing relations among bodies, technologies, and environments, looking at new articulations of the human and the more-than-human. My current research focuses on reusable menstrual products and how they are imagined and experienced in everyday practices to (re)shape conceptualizations of menstruation.
